Following the publication of Lancashire Local Skills Improvement Plan, the next stage of activity is getting underway.
In order to deliver on the key priorities employers highlighted through the LSIP, deeper collaboration between employers, providers and other relevant stakeholders. The key to this collaboration are the creation of new business clusters.
The first meeting of the LSIP Green Skills (Construction & Associated Trades) Cluster will be an introductory session to outline the purpose of the group, discuss the priorities highlighted in the recent LSIP report and introduce the new Local Skills Improvement Fund (LSIF).
The LSIF has been allocated to colleges to deliver on the needs of employers as expressed through the LSIP. This cluster will initially work in support of a Sustainability Skills project led by Preston College in partnership with other Lancashire colleges.
The cluster is a collaborative group that will bring together employers, providers, and key stakeholders to deliver solutions to employer needs.
This group is for any employer engaged in construction and trades, retrofit and renewables.
