Is anyone in your team experiencing short term illness that is affecting them at work?

Is anyone in your team having short and frequent sickness absence?

Has anyone in your team gone on sickness leave in the last few months (up to 6months)?

If the answer to the above is yes and the person is 18+ (16+ if a workplace based apprentice) lives in South Cumbria or Lancashire, or is registered with a GP in South Cumbria or Lancashire, then WorkWell may be able to help.

WorkWell is a new pilot that aims to help people with not complex physical and mental health conditions to stay in work. They also help people who are looking for work.

This service is free and voluntary, and as part of the offer, participants will have access to a Work and Health Coach. Together, they will agree realistic and reasonable next steps that can form part of a personalised support plan.

Work and Health Coaches will consider the full range of available local support and provide signposting, tailored to individual need. Services are available in:

To access help please ask the person to contact the local WorkWell team. If you are referring someone else please get their agreement first as this is a voluntary service.

If you would like the WorkWell team to come to your business to speak to people who may need our help, please reach out to the service hub nearest your business location. They can then discuss the best way to help you help your employees and colleagues.

WorkWell is a partnership between the NHS and Local Authorities to help people who are starting to experience ill health, so we can get them back on track before things worsen.
