The Lancashire Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) is up and running after the first two focus groups were a success.

Employers working in construction and in transport & distribution came together, two busy events. They spoke candidly about their issues with skills and recruitment locally within their industry. Despite the different sizes and type of business there was plenty of common concerns they shared with the LSIP team.

There is still a chance to get your voice heard and help shape Lancashire’s skills landscape with a number of other focus groups taking place over the coming weeks. The focus groups are a chance for employers to speak about their problems with skills and recruiting.

LSIP will be talking manufacturing at AMRC in Samlesbury on Friday 18th November, and the following week there’s Health & Social Care and Services at the Chamber of Commerce and Suresite in Preston respectively.

Simply visit our events page for more details and to book your place at the focus groups.

And don’t forget, if you can’t attend, we still want to hear from you. E-mail nickh@lancashirelsip.co.uk or call Nick Hyde at 01253 653000 with your details.
